Deepak Parekh (HDFC), Aamir Khan to grace Vidyamandir Trust Palanpur's 70th Anniversary Celebrations

Vidyamandir Trust, Palanpur is celebrating its 70th anniversary at a grand two-day event at its campus in Palanpur on January 6 & 7, 2018. The event is being graced by a number of dignitaries including Padma Bhushan Deepak Parekh (Chairman, HDFC Group) and Padma Bhushan Aamir Khan (Actor & Humanitarian) and Haribhai Chaudhary, distinguished alumni and Union Minister of State for Coal & Mines.

Nearly seven decades ago, a group of visionaries, who believed that the best investment one could make for uplifting people of Banaskantha was to provide quality education at their doorsteps, sowed the seeds of what has now grown to be Vidyamandir Trust, Palanpur. This mega educational project now provides education, training and character building to over 5,500 students.

A number of new institutions and projects of the Trust, all made possible by generous donations from the Palanpuri community and other well-wishers, will be inaugurated and blessed during the celebrations.

Each inaugural ceremony will be presided over by dignitaries namely, Shri Benjamin Bonas, Chairman, Bonas & Co., London, Shri Bharat Sheth, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd, Shri Jalaj Dani, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Trichy, Shri Praveenshankar Pandya, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Ranchi and Chairman, GJEPC, Shri Rohan Shah, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court and Bombay High Court, and Dr. Satyavatiben Surajmal Jhaveri, a pillar of strength of Vidyamandir for the past several years.

Vidyamandir today is known as an institution that provides a value-based child-centered, creative, nurturing, and challenging environment for over 5,500 students, so that they can maximize their innate potential. It tries to implement the concept of thinking globally and acting locally, drawing inspiration from international developments while retaining Indian cultural values. The goal is to be a centre of excellence in the field of education, hence the motto…”Better Every Day”.

The 70th anniversary celebrations will mark another milestone in this memorable journey.
