Sanjay A. Kothari Honoured as ‘Influencer of the Industry‘ at 7th GJTCI Excellence Awards

Sanjay A. Kothari was honoured for his contribution to the gems and jewellery industry with the Influencer of the Industry Award at the 7th GJTCI Excellence Awards function held in Ahmedabad on September 24, 2019.

The award was presented to by Chief Guest Honb’le Governor of Karnataka, Shri Vajubhai Vala and Hon’ble Minister of Education, Govt of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama.

The awards function organised annually by the Gujarat Trade Council of India, an Ahmedabad-headquartered organisation also honoured a number of leading names from the Indian gems and jewellery industry.

Sanjay Kothari was the only member of the diamond trade and the only Palanpuri to be honoured this year.

He is currently the Chairman of the Gem and Jewellery Skill Council of India as well as of the Gem & Jewellery National Relief Foundation (GJNRF). In his long and illustrious career, he has been Chairman of The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) for two terms and also headed various committees associated with its activities. He has also won a number of awards and accolades from different industry bodies over the years.
