New Orleans Museum Show to Feature Dr. Siddharth Bhansali’s Collection of Bronze Sculptures The magnificent collection of bronze statues of Indian gods and goddesses belonging to New Orleans based cardiologist Dr. Siddharth Kirtilal Bhansali will be displayed at a special show in the New Orleans Museum of Art. The exhibition, entitled “The Elegant Image: Bronzes from Indian Sub Continent’ will run from August 4 to October 23, 2011. Over 125 bronze statues of Jain, Buddhist and Hindu deities will be featured.
Female Hospital Palanpur Wins National Award from IEDRA
The Female Hospital Palanpur won the “Indian Achiever’s Award for Healthcare Excellence” from the Indian Economic Development & Research Association (IEDRA), and organization operating on national and international levels with the object of promoting economic welfare of individuals and countries. The award was received by Managing Trustee, Shaileshbhai S. Mehta at a function held along with IEDRA’s National Seminar on “Outstanding Contributions to Nation Building and World Peace” in Delhi recently. "A team of IEDRA had visited the Hospital and selected it for the award in the health sector," said Mehta.
Akbarally’s Founder Shaikh Fakhruddin T. Khorakiwala Passes Away Founder of Akbarally’s, Former Sheriff of Mumbai and Chancellor of Jamia Milia University, Shaikh Fakhruddin T. Khorakiwala passed away in Mumbai on July 5, 2011 at the age of 90. He is survived by his sons, Dr. Habil, Hunaid, Taizoon and their families.
