Shirishbhai Modi Felicitated on 50 Years of Legal Practice Renowned advocate and legal stalwart Shirishkumar M. Modi was recently felicitated at a lawyers’ gathering for completing 50 years of legal practice. Legal luminaries who spoke on the occasion included Y.L. Bachani, President of the Palanpur Bar Association, senior members of the Bar, Hon’ble Justice M.R. Shah, Hon’ble Justice K.S. Jhaveri and Hon’ble (Retd.) Justice K.A. Puj of Gujarat High Court.
Raahil Divyesh Shah is Mumbai ICSE Topper
Sixteen year old Raahil Shah was the Mumbai topper in the 2011 ICSE exams, results of which were declared recently. Under the new ‘Best of Five’ policy, Raahil scored an astounding 98.66 per cent. Though the ICSE Board has done away with the system of ranks, and no longer formally announces the toppers, newspaper reports confirmed that Raahil had scored the highest marks in Mumbai.
Jain Ice Cream Downs its Shutters
The popular Jain Ice Cream, a well known supplier of a wide variety of delicious ice creams to the people of Palanpur for over six decades, has closed down following the decision of its owner, Nirmal Jain to retire and relocate to Ahmedabad.
