The Condolence Meeting was held at Bharat Diamond Bourse on April 25, 2025.

Veteran artist Rohit Kantilal Jhaveri, winner of multiple awards and acclaimed for his paintings, murals and graphic designs that adorn many places in and around Surat, passed away on April 18, 2025 at the age of 75. His wife Bharti passed away a few years earlier, and he is now survived by his daughters Bhavini and Kruti and their families.
Namrata Gandhi, IAS, has been appointed to the prestigious position of Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, for a four-year tenure beginning mid-April 2025. In the same month, she also received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration for a GIS-based water conservation project she spearheaded as District Collector of Dhamtari in Chhattisgarh. The award was handed over at a function presided over by the Prime Minister on April 21, which is celebrated as Civil Services Day.
82-year-old Ramilaben Shukla, recently fulfilled her dream as she received her PhD degree at the 10th convocation ceremony of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) in the presence of Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat. She was also felicitated by Gujarat’s Education Minister Prafulla Pansheriya and Health Minister Rishikesh Patel, as well as University Vice Chancellor Ms Amiben Upadhyay. Ramilaben is the wife of Late Sanatbhai Shukla, and the daughter of Late Rukmini (Rukiben) and Late Popatlal Mohanlal Mehta.
Nysha Niraj Gandhi, who has just appeared for Std 12 Boards at JBCN International School, Parel, Mumbai, has been selected for the President's International Scholarship of Excellence, at York University in Canada. The University describes it as “one of the most prestigious awards granted to international students” who will be enrolling for graduating courses this year.

Kavinbhai Chimanlal Parikh, highly respected in the diamond industry and among the Palanpuri Jain community for his contributions to business and to society, passed away in Mumbai on April 7, 2025 at the age of 90. He is survived by his son Milan, daughters Rina Anujbhai Mehta, Meeta Ashitbhai Mehta, Sonika Nikhilbhai Shah, daughter-in- law Archana, and their families.
