Fashion Content Creator Malvika Sheth Attends Prestigious New York Fashion Week

Indian American digital entrepreneur, fashion content creator, and founder of platform ‘Stylebymalvika’, 19-year old Malvika Sheth, was invited by top fashion brands to cover their shows at the recently held prestigious New York Fashion Week (NYFW). This success comes within a year of her entering the world of fashion content creation with the launch of her dedicated Instagram account in October 2017.
 

Malvika, daughter of Komal and Samir Sheth from Southern California, and granddaughter of late Neera and Satish Mehta, is currently doing an Honors programme in Marketing at Babson College. Soon after Instagram, she launched her blog (website), and then slowly grew to both YouTube and Facebook as well.


The popularity of her posts (she has a combined audience of 12.5k across website, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, with a 10% engagement too, which is growing daily), enabled her to get invitations to a number of brand shows at the fashion event, and she attended five of the 12 shows while there. She was able to document this experience on all of her platforms, and in this way brought a large audience to events that are typically industry-only. 
 

In a recent media interview, Malvika said, “Ever since I could remember, my interests and passions lied in fashion. From age 4, until now, I have had the same dreams of one day having a reputable position within the fashion industry where my voice is heard and opinion is valued.” After attending NYFW, she has taken another step in that direction.
 

Malvika posts bi-weekly on her website, a few times daily on her Instagram, and also creates fun, fashion-filled YouTube videos and vlogs for her audience.


Another important milestone in her journey has been collaborating with brands like Reebok, Neutrogena, and Swedish luxury phone accessories brand, iDeal of Sweden. While the brand determines the product they wish to promote, Malvika creates her own content with a specific type of artistic theme and messaging, balancing between her own personal brand and the partnering brand.
