Fiona Ankit Jhaveri

Fiona, daughter of Megha and Ankit Anil Jhaveri, and granddaughter of Hasumatiben and Anil Jhaveri and Vibha and Rajen R. Jhaveri, a student of Std 9 at Greenlawns High School, Mumbai won a Gold Medal in Taekwondo (U-17, 44-26kg category) at the recently concluded all-India CICSE National Games held in Ahmedabad. She was selected to represent Maharashtra at the event after securing gold at the Zonal level competition held earlier in Navi Mumbai.
 

Over the last few years, she has won a number of other competitions in taekwondo. This was the first time she is winning a medal at the National level.

Nirvaan Ankit Jhaveri

Nirvaan, son of Megha and Ankit Anil Jhaveri, and granddaughter of Hasumatiben and Anil Jhaveri and Vibha and Rajen R. Jhaveri, a student of Greenlawns High School, Mumbai won a bronze medal in Taekwondo (U-14, 32-35 kg category) at the Zonal level in the CICSE Nationals held earlier in Navi Mumbai.
 

Earlier, he has won the Mayor’s Cup competition at the district and state level and represented the state at the Nationals in 2017.

 
Ariana Atit Shah

Ariana, daughter of Shimoni and Atit Jayesh Shah, won the Gold Medal in the U-10 Kata event at the 39th Maharashtra State Karate Championship 2018 held in Mumbai. 
 

A student of NSS Hillspring International School, Ariana holds a Black Belt (Shodan) in Karate and pursuing a higher level. She has won many state and Inter-school Karate tournaments earlier.


Ariana also participated in the performance in Mumbai of Broadway musical ‘Santa Meets Cinderella’ in 2018.

 
Parshva Krunal Mehta

Parshva, son of Reena and Krunal Sudhir Mehta, a Black Belt in Taekwondo, stood 2nd in the 6th Maharahstra State Kudo Championship (U-13/14 – 50 kgs) in March 2017.

In 2016, he was also awarded a gold medal in Poomsae, for participating in the 35th National Level Taekwondo Championship, as well as the Maharashtra State Level Taekwondo Selection held in 2016.

Earlier, he secured First place in Mumbai Mayor Kudo Champrionship at Mumbai 11-12 years Boys (-37 kg) held in Mumbai in March 2015. He had earlier won a Bronze Medal in 6th Akshay Jumar Invitational Kudo Champsionship held in Sept 2014, stood 2nd in Boys Kumite U 12 at 4th Maha State Kudo Championship 2013 and participated in the 2nd internatinal Karate Open held at Al Ahli Dubai Jan 2013.

He also won a Bronze medal in the U-14 in Sparring at the Maharashtra State Taekwondo Champsionship held in Mumbai in January 2015. Earlier, he secured his Jr 1st Black belt  and title of Sempei  in Go-Ju-Ryu Karate Do from the Junshodhodan Nippon Bodo Sogo International India.

Parshva also completed the Trinity College Communications Skills Course in 2013 securing a Level 1 award with Distinction in Grade 1.

Karan Dhanpal Mehta

Karan, son of Richi and Dhanpal Rajendra Mehta, a student of G.D.Somani  Memorial School won the gold medal in 35th Maharashtra State Karate championship in the Under 12 category.

He represented India in 4th AL AHLI Dubai Open Karate Championship which was held in Dubai in 2014.

Anika Atit Shah

Anika, daughter of Shimoni and Atit Jayesh Shah, won a Silver medal in the 6th World Gojukai Karate-Do Championship Girals Kata (7 years) and a Bronze medal (Girls Kumite Under 7) and secured 2nd place in the Shiai competition conducted by the All-India Gojukai Karate-Do in December 2013

Anika is a student of Hillspring International School, Mumbai.

Aryan Sehul Shah

Aryan, son of Shibani and Sehul Nirupam Shah, secured a bronze medal at the Maharashtra State Karate-Do Championship.

He is also a member of the Cathedral & John Connon school cricket team.

Eesha Sehul Shah

Eesha, daughter of Shibani and Sehul Nirupam Shah stood 3rd in the Karate, All-India Gojukai Karate do National Championship in age group 10-12 years. She is a student of Cathedral & John Connon School.

She had earlier won the Gold Medal in Kumite event for Girls below Brown Belt and below 10 years at The Mumbai Mayor Cup, Maharashtra State Karate Championship 2011 held at Mumbai in August 2011.

Eesha is also a member of the Cathedral & John Connon school football and basketball team.

 

Siddhant Sujit Mehta

Siddhant, son of Shreepa and Sujit Sureshchandra Mehta secured a gold and a bronze medal in Taekwondo at the district level. He recently achieved the prestigious black belt. He also represented his school in basketball at the DSO tournaments.

Earlier, in 2011, he won a bronze medal at the Maharashtra State Taekwondo Championships.

Siddhi Sujit Mehta

Siddhi, daughter of Shreepa and Sujit Sureshchandra Mehta, secured a prestigious black belt in Taekwondo and has competed in district level tournaments. A student of IB Diploma at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, she has been playing football since the 5th grade and now competes at a district level in football tournaments.

Earlier, in 2011, she won a Gold Medal at the 6th National Taekwondo Championships.

aalika rajesh shah

Aalika, daughter of Rina and Rajesh Shah won a Silver medal in the Group Kata and a Bronze medal in the Individual Kata at the Goju Kai Karate-Do World Championships held at Cape Town, South Africa during October 2009.

A student of Std 11 at the Ecole Mondiale World School, Aalika has been learning Karate under Vispy Kapadia since the last eight years. She is currently a Black Belt.

Aditya Ashish Mehta

Aaditya, son of Monisha and Ashish R. Mehta, won a Silver medal in the Individual Kata at the Goju Kai Karate-Do World Championships held at Johannesburg, South Africa during the last week of October 2009.

Aaditya is currently studying in Grade 9 at NSS Hill Spring International School. He has been learning Go Ju Kai style of Karate with Vispy Kapadia at Tardeo since the last seven years. He is currently a Brown Belt and will be appearing for Black Belt in December. Aaditya had also participated in the previous World Championship held in Holland four years ago.
 

Sparsh Samrat Mehta

Sparsh, son of Namrita and Samrat D. Mehta, won two Bronze in the Individual and Team Shiai for the Under 16 at the C ommonwealth Karate Championships held at Johannesburg in October 2009 and one Bronze medal in the Individual Shiai and one Silver medal in the Group Kata at the Goju Kai Karate-Do World Championships held at Cape Town, South Africa in October 2009.

A student of Std 10 at the Cathedral and John Connon High School, Sparsh has been learning Karate under Kyu Shi Vispy Kapadia since the last seven years. He is currently a Black Belt 1st Degree.
 

Saumya Sachin Mehta

Saumya, son of Sejal and Sachin Kiritbhai Mehta, at the young age of 11 has won a black belt in Karate in the year 2007. He started his Karate training at All India Gojukei of Shihan Vispy Kapadia from the age of 6 years and continued for 5 years. He is currently studying in Greenlawns High School.
