There were three members of the Palanpuri community who made presentations at the recently concluded 1st Gold & Jewellery Summit organised by The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) at Delhi on December 1-2, 2017.
On Wednesday, 29th November 2017, the newly redeveloped Shanti building of the Palanpur Samaj Kendra Charitable Trust, threw its doors open for various community activties.
Vidyamandir Trust, Palanpur is celebrating its 70th anniversary at a grand two-day event at its campus in Palanpur on January 6 & 7, 2018. The event is being graced by a number of dignitaries including Padma Bhushan Deepak Parekh (Chairman, HDFC Group) and Padma Bhushan Aamir Khan (Actor & Humanitarian) and Haribhai Chaudhary, distinguished alumni and Union Minister of State for Coal & Mines.
Earlier this year, Suresh Kirtilal Mehta was awarded a grand trophy for becoming the Most Super Senior Golfer of 2017 in Western India in recognition of his continued achievements on the golf course. What makes this an extra special achievement, is that Sureshbhai turned 85 on November 14, 2017, making him one of the oldest golf players in the country, and possibly the only one who actively participates and even wins tournaments.
The Palanpur Samaj Kendra annual sports event for distribution of prizes to the winners of the tournaments organised during the year was held on the 8th of October 2017, at Police Gymkhana. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Navkar Mantra by Shimoni, followed by the welcome speech given by Rajvi.
