PSK Sports Committee Hosts Annual Prize Distribution Event


The Palanpur Samaj Kendra annual sports event for distribution of prizes to the winners of the tournaments organised during the year was held on the 8th of October 2017, at Police Gymkhana. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Navkar Mantra by Shimoni, followed by the welcome speech given by Rajvi. 


Convener of sports committee Kumarbhai Mehta then encouraged all the budding sport stars to participate and play more games, thereby making a name for them selves and the Samaj in the world. The event was then continued by thanking all the sponsors and distributing all the trophies to the deserving winner of the various sports (carrom, chess, tennis, badminton and cricket). 
 
The event was conducted by hosts, Nimishbhai & Rajvi. The chief guest for the event was the very well known billards player Nalin Patel, who in his speech mentioned that he was very impressed by the enthusiasm and the talent shown by the young and upcoming members of the community.
 
This was followed by chairman Navinbhai Mehta’s motivating speech. He said that the Samaj is recognised all over the world, and all should be proud and privileged to be a part of this wonderful Palanpur Samaj Kendra, and do their best to take the community to greater heights.
 
The event then ended with the National Anthem, and thereafter snacks were served.
