Veteran Palanpuri diamantaire, and one of the pioneers of the modern diamond and jewellery industry in India, Manhar Ratibhai Bhansali passed away on October 2, 2017 in Mumbai. He was 76. Manharbhai is survived by his wife Shobhanaben, children Asha and Rashesh and their families.

Mehta was a part of the Indian team that represented the country at the recently concluded 'Asia Rugby U17 Rugby Sevens Championship' which was held at the Tainan Municipal Rugby Stadium, Tainan in Taiwan. The tournament was part of the qualifying competition to select countries that will participate in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
