Anshul Kothari Wins Four Medals at 9th Asian Age-group Aquatic Championship in Tashkent

Anshul K. Kothari once again did the country proud at the 9th Asian Age-group Aquatic Championships held at Tashkent (Uzbekistan) from September 8 to 11, 2017, winning two silver and two bronze medals in the four events that he participated in. Anshul is the son of Sushamaben and Ketanbhai Rasiklal Kothari.


At the event, which had participation from 30 countries, Anshul secured a silver medal in the 50m Butterfly (Timing: 0:24:84 seconds) and a bronze in the 50m Freestyle (Timing: 0:23:28 seconds). He was also a part of the Indian teams that won silver in the 4x100 mixed relay and bronze in the 4x100m freestyle relay. 

Anshul, who has earlier represented the country in the Commonwealth and Asian Games, is a Post Graduate Programme (PGP) student of management at the Indian School of Business (ISB).  In a recent interview he gave to the media, Anshul has said that he is pursuing a rigorous training programme and has set his sights on representing India at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
