In mid-April, BBC World News aired a short documentary film entitled "India's Millennials" which featured five young adults from the city who represented the hopes and aspirations of the new generation. One of those five was Spruha Mehta, who recently gave up her blossoming career at Citibank to join a start up called Refreshed looking at providing services to car owners. Spruha is the daughter of Nikita and Satish Nanalal Mehta.
Dr Ashok S Kothari has been recently elected as President of the National Society of the Friends of the Trees. The organisation was started in 1957 by Dr Homi Bhabha, Kulpati Kanaiyalal Munshi, Lilavati Munshi, S.P.Godrej, Kisan Mehta, Sadoba Patil and other leading citizens of Mumbai in 1957. Former presidents of the society include V P Naik, J J Bhabha, S P. Godrej and Dr Pheroza Godrej.
