Ashish M. Mehta Wins Mumbai Leg of BMW Golf Tournament

Ashish Mahendra Mehta, an avid golfer, won the Mumbai leg of the BMW Golf Tournament in Category B (13 - 24 handicap) which was held recently at The Bombay Presidency Golf Club. He will now participate in the National Finals which will be held at Delhi in the latter half of 2017.


The BMW tournament is a prestigious international tournament played across nearly 50 countries. Last year nearly 2,000 amateur golfers took part in qualifying events held across 13 cities in India. Participation in the exclusive event is by invitation only.

Besides looking after the family jewellery business of Vrajlal’s, Ashish has been a passionate golfer since a very young age. He started at the age of eight, while studying at La Martiniere School in Kolkata, and continued sharpening his skills after coming to Mumbai.


Prior to his victory in the BMW tournament, he has won numerous awards in golf from Kolkata and Mumbai.
