Spruha Mehta features in BBC World News Documentary on India’s Millennials

In mid-April, BBC World News aired a short documentary film entitled “India’s Millennials” which featured five young adults from the city who represented the hopes and aspirations of the new generation. One of those five was Spruha Mehta, who recently gave up her blossoming career at Citibank to join a start up called Refreshed looking at providing services to car owners. Spruha is the daughter of Nikita and Satish Nanalal Mehta.

The film is the work of award winning BBC documentary maker Stephen Beard who in 2005 had featured these same five individuals in a short film on kids in India. The film won an award at the prestigious BAFTA, Britain’s awards for film and TV.

The promo for the film put out by BBC says: “In 2005, the BBC spoke to five children living in Mumbai, from across the social classes, about their hopes and dreams... Now young adults, how are their lives turning out? They tell us what it's like to be a millennial in India.”
