Firstly, I would like to thank you all for honouring me today and encouraging me so much.

Secondly, today I would like to take this opportunity to talk about something that I believe in, something that is the need of the hour ..."CHANGE".

I would like to start of by quoting Sheryl Sandberg, the COO and first woman board member of Facebook, she said: "we cannot change what we are not aware of, and once we are aware, we cannot help but change"

Just as she said I too believe that Change can be brought about only when there is some kind of "AWARENESS". And Awareness can be spread through continuous reading, learning and interaction. In other words Awareness can be spread through "EDUCATION". Getting educated does not have any age bar. Getting educated is not limited to a college degree. Getting educated is a simple yet powerful phrase...and indeed the only one that can eventually help in bringing about any kind of CHANGE. 

When I ponder over what I would like to change, I often feel that even today there is yet some kind of disparity when it comes to women at the workplace as opposed to their male counterparts. Question here is how can we change that? I believe, as women, we have the ability to bring about any kind of change in the society if we empower ourselves with education coupled with our strong values and beliefs. I truly see education as a powerful tool towards a better society and today having a degree of Masters in Business Administration and having the opportunity of working in one of the biggest private banks in the country, I think I am a step closer to bringing about a change.

I conclude with my message in the words of Steve Jobs, "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish".
