Aditi is the daughter of Meena and Virendra Gunvantlal Shah. The article is based on a speech she  presented at the 'Rising Stars' function organised by PSK in Mumbai.

The two people who have helped me achieve everything that I am today are my parents. The role of my father has been that of a guide and support system. But my mother has played a special role.

My mother wanted me to excel in life and have a multi-faceted personality. So during my childhood she helped me throughout my academic life with all projects, assignments, homework, etc so that I had spare time every evening to pursue an extracurricular activity. At a young age she put me into athletics to gain fitness. For ten years she used to accompany me daily to PD Park for my practice sessions.

While attending the 30 odd state and national level competitions that I participated in, she was the manager behind the scenes. She ensured that every necessity was taken care of so that I could always give my best performance.

Through all Board exams and even my CA exams I could feel her constant and unwavering support. It was always a motivation to perform better. I also passed Intermediate drawing exam in Grade A.

Years of her unwavering support, dedication and hard work have single handedly contributed to all that I have been able to achieve today.

So rightfully to sum up, some of the roles that she has played for me are that of a guide, teacher, friend, manager, dietician and motivator.
She has lived each day of my life with me.
