A stranger’s face Unrequited smile Eyes barely open Hand just barely Clenching a finger A collage of every Everything familiar. Rolling, crawling Walking, falling Running, leaping Soaring Towards me With me Away from me. Black turns gray No regrets No secrets Just A Full life Full of every Everything Fulfilled. I dreamt of A stranger Who is the Best part of me. ***
As a child Rahul spent a significant amount of time writing and painting. It was easier to find inspiration when he was younger and his imagination had little to anchor it down. In order to cater to his creative pursuits, he took advanced creative writing, poetry writing and photography courses at University. He wrote this poem, after a long time, when he found out that he was going to become a father. Having a child is like having a chance to relive your childhood. He hopes that his daughter would be the inspiration that he has been looking for everyday since he grew up.
