Community Benevolence Enables Further Growth at Vidyamandir, Palanpur

Over the last few months, various benevolent Palanpuris have come forward to sponsor different projects of Vidyamandir Palanpur, enabling further growth in the activities of the institution. The latest in the long list of donors are K C Kothari (HK), Anilaben N Mody (Antwerp), Kumar R Mehta (Shairu Gems) and others. Thus the tradition of generous support from the community, which has been a key aspect behind the growth of Vidyamandir over the last 65 years into a mega world class institution training thousands of students each year, continues. 

A function is proposed to be held in Palanpur in January 2018 to open and bless various new projects.  
 
Some of the recent major donations received by the Trust include:
 
A donation of Rs. 2,00,00,000 from Kantibhai C. Kothari (Hong Kong) & family for construction of new school building for the Lower Primary sections i.e. Std. III, IV & V. As per his wishes, this School building will be named as “Sarhad Gandhi Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan Bhawan”.
 
An amount of Rs. 1,50,00,000 has been given by Anilaben Navinchandra Mody for construction of a new building to house various centers run by the Vidyamandir Trust. The building will be named “Shri Navinchandra Dahyalal Mody Bhavan”.
 
A sum of Rs. 1,25,00,000 given by Kumarbhai Rasiklal Mehta (Shairu Gems) for the naming of the B. Ed. College Building which is now known as “Kashish Kumar Mehta Bhavan”.
 
An amount of Rs. 55,00,000 donated by Prabodhbhai K. Mehta (Gembel) will fund need based scholarships for Vidyamandir students. As per his wishes, the scholarships will be given to 14 students each from Gujarati and English Medium schools from Std I to XII for a period of 14 academic years beginning in 2015-16. 

 Apart from these, over the past 2 years, Nishit Kothari (Jewelex), Kirtilal D Parikh Charitable Trust, Arvindbhai C Parikh, Devoobhai Kothari and Sunil Jhaveri & family have offered contributions over 10 lac each.
