Hirani Mata Sthanak Trust Hosts Kautumbik Sneh-Sammelan function

The Hirani Mata Sthanak Trust which has been at the forefront of the endeavour to bring together the families of the Hirani Mehta Parivar to develop bonhomie amongstall, once again hosted its annual Kautumbik Sneh-Sammelan function on Sunday September 25, 2016, at the prestigious MCA Lounge, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The function was an enjoyable success, with over 160 members in attendance.

As has been the practice every year, the ceremonies began with Prayers to Hirani Mataji and Puja by the senior-most member present & Trustee Dr.Satyavatiben, reviving & reiterating a noble tradition of Hirani Mehta Parivar’s equal respect to women. This was followed by a brief speech by the President of the Trust, Shri Dineshbhai D. Mehta, bringing all present up-to-date with the Parivars’ achievements & affairs.

During the function, two distinguished Lady Members of the Hirani Parivar who haveselflessly dedicated themselves toHumanitarian Causes & Social Services, and other outstanding work in Public Service were honoured and presentated with plaques. These were Smt. Saritaben Rameshbhai Mehta, for her Humanitarian & Social service for over 50 Years, and Smt. Ashaben Mahendrabhai Mehta, for her Artificial leg implantation activity and several other facilities & help being provided to the lesser privileged people across India and abroad, by their Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust.

Recognising the importance of development of youth in shaping of the future of a country or community young achievers of the Parivar, in both academics & sport, were felicitated (see end of page for list).

Similarly, in acknowledgement of the importance of religion as the foundation and fabric of a Family, a Parivar and Society at large, Anumodna of all Parivar members who have performed Tapascharyas of Athai & more was graciously conducted.

There was also a round of entertainment which adds to joy in life – a superb medley of meaningful evergreen songs rendered by Singer Amit Sinha, a popular figure today.

The lunch banquet at the Parivar Kautumbik Sneh Sammelan is always a grand affair, and this time was no different.

A measure of the success of the event was the simple fact that each and every Parivar member who attended the Sunday get-together stayed from the beginning till the end, participating whole-heartedly in every aspect of the programme, with the promise of looking forward to Sneh Sammelan 2017.
