Rajul Mehta with family at the SIBL awards

Rajul Mehta, artist-turned-businesswoman, and her elder daughter Ria, also an entrepreneur, were both awarded with different business awards in Singapore over the last year, while younger daughter Anyaa was awarded at an international model competition during the same period. Rajul is the wife of Amish Uday Mehta. They all live in Singapore.

Rajul Mehta was one of the 25 Indian businesswomen who were felicitated with the SIBL (Singapore Indian Business Leaders Award) award in March 2016. After a successful career in art in Israel and Singapore, she set up Queenmark, and is now the CEO of the venture in the luxury and fashion, focusing on Cashmere and Pashmina shawls and exclusive fashion resort wear. It distributes to about 15 countries worldwide. She was honoured for its  progress over the three years since its inception, and the qualities of leadership and creativity she has shown. The award was presented by Mr. S Iswaran, Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry (Industry).

 Daughter Ria was one of the awardees at the Womens Icon Awards held in March 2017 in Singapore. These awards celebrate the achievements of women who have excelled in different spheres of life. Ria co-founded Skill Rail (skillrail.com), a leading freelance platform and jobs board in 2015 as a one-stop shop for university students to find opportunities to gain work experience, earn additional income and get connected to potential future employers. Skill Rail connects clients with thousands of students who can apply their skills to outsourced tasks including sales, leafleting, translation, blogging, SEO, social media, graphic design, programming and more.

Earlier, she had completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with minors in Cinematic Arts and Music from the University of Southern California and a Master’s Degree in Technology Entrepreneurship at University College London (UCL).
