Nilesh Sheth Elected President of India Diamond and Colorstone Association, NY

 Nilesh Sheth

Nilesh Sheth (Nice Diamonds) has been recently elected as the President of the Indian Diamond and Colorstone Association (IDCA) for the year 2018. The IDCA, a New York based gem and jewellery trade association, was established as a not for profit organization in 1984. It provides a platform for its members to network with each other and promotes the business of its members within the United States.

 
Five other Palanpuri diamantaires were also elected to the Board of Directors for the year. 
 
Sheth has been on the Board of IDCA since Jan 1, 2012 and has earlier held positions of Treasurer and Secretary of the association, and was actively involved with hosting a number of educational and marketing programmes for the members. He is also a member of the Board of JBT (Jewelers Board of Trade) since 2016, and earlier was a member of the Board of the Natural Color Diamond Association (NCDIA).
 
After completing his BS in Computer Science from California State University in 1986, Sheth has been associated with the industry since 1987 when he opened the branch office of Nice Diamonds in New York City. He is actively involved with GIA’s research department to help them create processes to identify treatments and assist GIA with events to educate the trade of new treatments and synthetics.
 
Sheth says that his parents, Manjula and Rasiklal Sheth are “the pillars of my success” and he would not have reached where he has “without their guidance”.
