The ‘Palanpur Nawabs’ team of Palanpur Samaj Kendra (PSK) will be one of the 12 teams participating in the Bharat Diamond Sports League Session 1, a first-ever cricket tournament being organised by Bharat Diamond Bourse in the run up to its Bharat Diamond Week in April.
BDB Vice president Mehul N Shah is the chief organiser both for the Diamond Week and the Sports League.
Jerseys and kits of the 12 participating teams were unveiled at a special event held in Lower Parel on Saturday March 17, 2018.
A number of teams taking part in the League are sponsored by companies belonging to Palanpuri diamantaires, including Asian Star, Ankit Gems, Mahendra Brothers, Blue Star, Jewelex, Venus Jewel, Rosy Blue and Jasani. Other participating teams are from Bharat Diamond Bourse, Shree Ramkrishna Exports and GIA.
