Kumarbhai Sevantilal Javeri received a special reward from the Government of Gujarat at the recently held 70th Republic Day celebrations in Palanpur. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Vijaybhai Rupani and the Hon’ble Governor of the state, Shri Omprakash Kohli in recognition of his dedicated work in Gadh through the Shri Sevantilal Tribhovandas Javeri Charitable Trust.
Kumarbhai has settled in New York in the USA for the past five decades but has maintained close contact with his native village in Gadh and the surrounding areas in Banaskantha district while heading the Trust which has been active in development work for the last 80-90 years.
He and his family have funded and helped initiate a number of projects in this socio-economically backward rural area, setting up a Hospital, Primary School, High School, Public Hostel, Girls Primary School, Public Library, Women’s Skill Development Centre, Overhead water tank, Aradhana Bhavan, Atithi Gruha, Bus station, etc. The most recent project taken up by the Trust was establishing Vimla Vidyalaya, an educational campus with lush green and calm atmosphere spread over 20 acres and having facilities on par with other national and international campuses.
