Yahna P. Mehta, 17-year old IB student at BD Somani International School was captain of the Indian team that won the silver medal as runners up at the Asian International Throwball Cup held at Malaysia this weekend.
 

Yahna, an ex-student of JB Petit High School, is the daughter of Jigna and Parag Bharat Mehta. 

Besides India, six other countries participated in the tournament.

Yahna has been playing throwball for the past seven years and represented as well as captained the team at inter-school competitions, and was also captain of the football team at her school. She has also played in different tournaments representing clubs where she goes for additional coaching.

Earlier this year, Yahna had been selected to represent India at an International tournament hosted in Sri Lanka in March but had to forego the opportunity as she was appearing for her Std X Board examinations.
