Palanpur Samaj Sports Committee recently held the annual badminton tournament at CCI Badminton courts. This year, the organisers introduced a change both in the date on which the tournament was held and the format.
 

The change in the format proved to be an interesting one – the draw was entirely on a Round Robin league basis. Not only did the players get to play more games but also tested their stamina!

While many players, due to certain obligations overseas, were not able to make it for the tournament, the participation of many other overseas members of the Samaj this year indicated that the organisers are moving in the right direction in attracting talent towards sports.

There were some outstanding stars like Samiaa, Sriya and Mishil, and a new find, Krisha in the lower age group!

It was also good to welcome back Pratishbhai Mehta, and to have him playing in the finals in his age group.

A lot of effort and time was put in by the committee members to make the tournament a success. The PSK Sports Committee also thanked all the sponsors who were present at the CCI Courts. Their presence helps the organisers and the players to perform well.
