The Board of Trustees of Vidyamandir Trust, Palanpur has unanimously elected Rajiv P. Mehta new Chairman at its meeting held on May 2, 2020. Rajiv will hold the post for a two-year period till 2022.
 

The meeting, held amidst the all-India lockdown in place to control the spread of the novel coronavirus, was held on a virtual meeting platform. The meeting had over 90% attendance. 

Rajivbhai takes charge from Russell A. Mehta, who was Chairman for the past four years (two terms of two years each, the maximum as per the Constitution of the Trust). Rajiv was already a member of the Board and Russell will continue to be a member of the Board. Ashish K Mehta was re-appointed as Managing Trustee and Vasant A Parikh as Joint Managing Trustee. 

Commenting on his new role and responsibility, Rajiv Mehta said, “I would like to thank Russellbhai for his outstanding leadership as Chairman of Vidyamandir Trust for the past 4 years. It has been a wonderful experience working together.” 

He also expressed thanks to the Managing Trustee and Board of Trustees of Vidyamandir Trust for appointing him as Chair for the next two years. “I am extremely humbled by the confidence and I look forward to serving our great institution and working together with the Board as well as the Director and faculty of our schools.”
