Saumil Parikh 

 

Share & Care Foundation, USA, a leading volunteer-based charity organization established by the Indian community in USA, recently announced that Saumil Rajshekhar Parikh has taken charge as the new President of the organisation. 
 

The Foundation, which was founded in 1982, has raised an estimated US$72 million in cash and kind which has been distributed across 800 programs to bring education, healthcare, gender equality, and sanitation & hygiene to underprivileged women and children in rural India.

Currently, the foundation has focused its efforts on COVID-19 relief and rehabilitation programs.

Parikh has served the Foundation in various capacities including as Treasurer, Board Trustee, and recently as Secretary and a key member of the Management Committee. According to the foundation’s newsletter, he “represents the young and vibrant next generation of Foundation members, raised in the U.S. but with the same dedication to building a better future here and in India”.

He has experience managing his own business, holds management and accounting degrees from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business, and has earned his CPA after working with a reputable top 5 accounting firm.
