Nirali Singh was one of the recipients of the Teacher of the Year Award for 2022 given by the Rotary Club of Boca Raton and the Golden Bell Education Foundation. The awards were distributed at a special event hosted at the Boca Raton Cultural Centre in Florida on April 26, 2022. Nirali is daughter of Padma and Navin Shah and is married to Ajit Singh.
 

An elementary school teacher and academic games coach at Del Prado Elementary in Palm Beach County, Florida, Nirali was honoured “in appreciation for (her) dedication and outstanding service to the children of Palm Beach County, Florida”. The awardees, including Nirali, were also mentioned in a special citation issued for the Congressional Record by Congressman Theodore E Deutch of Florida.
 

Nirali, who was earlier a social worker, brings her previous experience to teaching. In a video shown on the occasion, Laura Riopelle, Principal of Del Prado School said, “Mrs Singh is a fantastic teacher. She has the highest expectations and her students rise to the occasion in every subject.”
 

The awards have been distributed annually since 1987 to honour teachers of public schools in the district.
 

In 2017 and 2018, Nirali was recognised as a ‘High Impact Teacher’ in Florida, US by the Florida Department of Education.
