Leading diamantaire Vipul Prabodh Shah of Asian Star Co, one of India’s top diamond manufacturer-exporters, has been elected as Chairman of The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) for a two-year term from September 2022 to September 2024.
GJEPC is the apex body of India’s gem and jewellery export trade officially recognised by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and has over 7,500 members all over the country.
From 2020-22, Shah was Vice-Chairman of GJEPC.
He had also previously been elected to the Chairman’s post which he held from 2012-15. It was during his tenure that the sucessful World Diamond Coference was held in Delhi and addressed by the Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Members can now request for a soft copy of the names and addresses of all those listed in the Directory in Excel format.
