The first ever activity taken up by the Palanpuri Jain Samaj Young Group, an Exhibition cum Fun-n-Fair held on September 24 at World Trade Centre, Mumbai was a tremendous success. The event has 118 booths spread across 25,000 sq ft and attracted about 3,500 visitors.
 

The newly formed group comprises Nikhil N Shah, Satish N Mehta, Ajay Mehta (PD), Rajesh Parikh, Pinkesh Shah, Mayank Mehta and Vatsal Parekh. They jointly took the initiative to create the event as a platform where participants could develop new contacts and get exposure to a wider audience at a cost that would be affordable to even the smallest of business ventures. While exhibitors had to be members of the community, there was no restrictions and no charges for visitors, who only had to register themselves at the point of entry.

Sponsored by Nimeshbhai (Tony) Mehta, along with Asian Star Co, Jewelex, Treasure Island/Fuel, and Milanbhai Parekh (Jainam Broking Co. Pvt. Ltd., Surat).  Thanks to such wide support, they were able to keep the cost of participation at just Rs 2,500 for a 3 m x 2 m booth. Soon after the initial announcement, there was a rush to book space which was sold out within the first two days.

At the inauguration on September 24, the ribbon was cut by Smt Ushaben Mehta, mother of main sponsor Nimesh Mehta, and throughout the day there were large crowds and participants from ever aisle and each booth all did very good business as well as generated useful new contacts.

Among the special attractions were a VIP area with sofa sets for elderly senior citizens, a play area for children to play Moon walk, Trampoline, mini train, all at no cost and a medical booth where HN Reliance Hospital conducted free medical check-ups.
