A number of community members successfully participated in the Tata Mumbai Marathon held on January 15, 2023, with Vishal Bhansali completing the gruelling Full Marathon of 42 km for the 10th consecutive time. Siddharth Mehta, Vipul Shah and Viral Mehta successfully completed the half marathon.
 

Vishal Bhansali said, “What started off as a dream to complete one marathon of 42.2 kms in Mumbai, with a few friends, became 10 consecutive Full Marathons.” He said that to commemorate this landmark, the organisers offered him a race number of his choice and he opted for 240643 “in memoriam of our mentor, guru, Dad the late Shri Shirishbhai Bhansali”. 
 

A number of others also successfully completed the Half Marathon.
 

Among them was Siddharth Mehta who covered the distance in 1 hour 54 mins, improving on the 1 hour 57 mins he had recorded in his previous run.

Sharing his experience, Vipul Shah said that he was happy to be a “#ProudFinisher of the Half Marathon”. Describing his experience, Vipulbhai said, “The event Unites Mumbai in an amazing way… with 50,000+ participants, and many more on the sides to cheer up… Haji Ali, Chowpatty, Marine Lines, on Marathon morning at 6-7 am is truly happening place.” 
 

According to him, “The Elders were standing tall, Kids offering their hands to tap, Every single person keen to offer fruits, drinks, the Mumbai Police cheering us - what a gesture! You have to see it to believe it. That’s real Mumbai. One poster said ‘Run Like Mumbai 😊’.” 
 

Viral Mehta, another regular participant shared that this was his “13th half marathon overall and the 5th of the Tata Mumbai Marathon’.
