Aarav Gandhi
The award-winning artwork 'Money Hungry'
Talented artist and Kids4Kids committee member Aarav Gandhi has donated his painting ‘Money Hungry’ to the Share & Care Foundation New York for a donation campaign to raise funds for the Foundation’s programmes in India. The artwork serves as a reminder of the importance of empathy, generosity, and addressing the needs of others, Aarav said.
Aarav is the son of Payal & Abhik Gandhi and grandson of Late Rakshaben - Ashwinbhai Kantilal Gandhi and Sohiniben - Kiranbhai Rasikbhai Saraiya. He is currently a Grade 12 rising senior who attends Bergen County Technical High School, a specialized magnet school majoring in Commercial Arts and Graphic Design, in New Jersey, USA. Aarav has won numerous awards in the arts in Mixed Media, Digital Art and illustration.
Last year he was one of the National Silver Medal winners for Mixed Media at the Scholastic Awards presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, a non-profit organization. The selection was done by some of the foremost leaders in the visual and literary arts based on criteria such as excellence in originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision.
Aarav is also one of the founding members of his own club in school called “HeART Club”. Its members send their own paintings to the pediatric wards in hospitals and doctor’s offices. In addition, he is very fond of chemistry and also participates in science competitions.
Talking about the painting he donated, Aarav says, “In the context of the Share and Care Foundation, the artwork serves as a reminder of the importance of empathy, generosity, and addressing the needs of others. It prompts us to reflect on the values that underpin our actions and encourages us to consider how we can use our resources — including financial means — to make a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate.”
Share & Care Kids4Kids (SCFK4K), is composed of over 65 dedicated and passionate students in the New York/New Jersey area between the ages 12-18, working to support the Share & Care Educate 2 Success (E2S). E2S is a program that benefits underprivileged children in India to receive the education they deserve.
