Tejal Kothari, Coordinator of Intermediate Level in SPJ Sadhana School for the Developmentally Challenged, received a special Certificate of Appreciation at the recently concluded global conference of the International Association of Special Education, held at Pilsen in The Czech Republic from June 27 to July 1, 2024. .
Tejal is the daughter of Shamaben and Satishbhai Jhaveri and wife of Amish Kothari. She made a special presentation at the conference on Empowering students on Inclusion and Honoring Diversity.
Tejal has been working with the renowned SPJ Sadhana School for the Developmentally Challenged since 2000. Her journey started as a volunteer and over the last 24 years she has held numerous positions such as a teacher at pre-vocational class, Head of Department Skills Enhancement class, and now she as the Coordinator of Intermediate Level.
During this time, she has been recognized both in India and internationally for her special contributions in the field.
The vision of the International Association of Special Education (IASE) is to improve the quality of life and service delivery for all individuals with special needs. Delegates from different countries participated in the conference and shared their experiences and insights.
