The Palanpur Samaj Kendra Sports Committee held its annual Prize Distribution function at the YB Chavan Centre in Mumbai on June 30, 2024. The event was attended by families of the winners and a number of sports enthusiasts from the samaj.
All the winners of the various events conducted by the Sports Committee in 2023-24 were felicitated with medals, certificates or trophies.
This year, the function was graced by a distinguished chief guest, Mr Devindar Valmiki, who was the first Maharashtra hockey player to be selected for the National side and represent India as a midfielder. The committee expressed its thanks to Vyomaben Parikh, herself an international table tennis player and past captain of the Indian side, who introduced them to this very enterprising sports person.
The Committee also expressed its thanks to the Sponsors who have been the backbone of the sports activities for so many years.
