The grand inauguration of the newly renovated Palanpur Jain Yatrik Bhavan in Palitana, run by the Shri Pallaviya Parshvanath Trust was held at Palitana on June 28, 2025. The inauguration function marked the completion of 24 years since the Bhavan was set up and the commencement of its 25th year.

During the renovation, all the existing 52 rooms were upgraded and facilities were modernized, and 10 additional new rooms were added. The Bhavan’s Bhojanshala, which provides meals to all the community members who stay at the Bhavan on their pilgrimage to Palitana, has also been renovated and modernized.

Over 150 persons had travelled from Mumbai including Trustees, Donors, well-wishers and their families to be present on the occasion.

After the inauguration, the donors were felicitated for their support to the project. These included major donors Kanubhai Shah (KB Shah), Sanjay K Shah, Sandeep K Shah, Sudhirbhai Mehta (Sur Gems), and Mala & Deepak Shah. All other donors, whose names are listed on a plaque in the premises, were also felicitated.

The renovation project was spearheaded by Deepak Shah, Manish Shah, Saloni Shah and Sneha Shah with full support from the Trust’s Chairman Shantibhai Mangalji Mehta, Vice Chairman Kanubhai Bapalal Shah and Hon Sec. Kiritbhai Jormalbhai Shah. The Trust had convened two well-attended meetings in Mumbai about a year and a half ago to plan the renovation, and a number of donors came forward to generously support the effort.

The success of such a major renovation in a relatively short time was possible due to the collective efforts of the community, particularly all the office bearers and trustees, as well as the donors. The Yatrik Bhavan is now fully open for all community members visiting Palitana.
