The grand inauguration of the newly renovated Palanpur Yatrik Bhavan in Palitana, run by the Shri Pallaviya Parshavanath Trust was held at Palitana on June 28, 2025. The inauguration function marked the completion of 24 years since the Bhavan was set up and the commencement of its 25th year.

During the renovation, all the existing 52 rooms were upgraded and facilities were modernized, and 15 additional new rooms were added. The Bhavan has a modern Bhojanshala to provide meals to all the community members who visit Palitana.

Over 150 persons had travelled from Mumbai including Trustees, Donors, well-wishers and their families to be present on the occasion.

At the inauguration, two major donors – the families of Sudhirbhai Mehta (Sur Gems) and Kanubhai Shah (KB Shah) were specially felicitated for their support. All other donors, whose names are listed on a plaque in the premises, were also felicitated.

The renovation project was spearheaded by the Trust’s President Shantibhai Mangalji Mehta, Vice President Kanubhai Bapalal Shah and Hon Sec. Kiritbhai Jormalbhai Shah. The Trust had convened two well-attended meetings in Mumbai about a year ago to plan the renovation, and a number of donors came forward to support the effort.

The success of such a major renovation in a relatively short time was possible due to the collective efforts of the community, particularly all the office bearers and trustees, as well as the donors.
