Three veteran Palanpuri diamantaires were among a group of senior members of the trade who were felicitated as Pioneers of the Industry by The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council recently – Navinbhai Mehta (D Navinchandra), Jitendrabhai Bhansali (Prism Enterprises) and Jitendrabhai Parikh (Mahendra Brothers).

Navinbhai Mehta and Jitubhai Bhansali were personally honored at the inauguration of the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) with the presentation of a plaque at the hands of Chief Guest Shri Rahul Narvekar, Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and Guests of Honor, Shri Pavel Marynichev, CEO, ALROSA and Shri Ajoy Chawla, incumbent MD, Titan. In the absence of Jitendra Parikh, the plaque was accepted on his behalf by his son Shaunak Parikh.

All three veterans were honored for their pioneering contributions to the diamond and jewellery industry inn its early years as well as for their roles in some outstanding philanthropic activities.

At a separate function, Dipu Mehta (Orra) was also felicitated as a Legend of IIJS.
