PSK Women’s Forum Hosts Raas Garba Evening

Palanpur Samaj Kendra - Women’s Forum celebrated the upcoming Navratri with a colourful Raas Garba event on Friday, 2nd October at the Sharda Mandir Hall.

Enthusiastic members dressed in most colourful traditionals swirled to the catchy beats of Gujarati folk songs and celebrated the joy of being together. There were graceful, energetic dancers, many of whom created their own styles.

A few enthusiastic members, dressed in ethnic ghaghra choli with chunky jewellery performed a special garba which was beautifully choreographed by expert dance instructor Ms Ritu Shah.

Mrs Sunanda Viju Shah, who had been crowned a winner for two consecutive years at one of Mumbai’s biggest stages in 1989 and 1990, was Chief Guest and judge for the event. She truly appreciated the spirit of the evening and encouraged everyone to simply let go, and enjoy the music and garba with gusto!

Raas garba gave all the opportunity to let their spirits free and groove to the beats of catchy music by DJ JOY.

Women’s Forum members attended the evening to celebrate raas garba, music, friendship and togetherness. Because the most beautiful part of Garba is not the steps…it is the energy of everyone dancing together. The vibrant colourful atmosphere, beautiful energy and delicious snacks that always make the day so very special.
