Shalin Shah has featured prominently in a recent write up in India’s leading business daily, Economic Times, being named as one of the three core members of the team that has recently helped the Piramal Group, headed by Ajay Piramal, make two strategic acquisitions in the US.

Shalin is the son of Sneha and Sanjay Madhukar Shah. He is a graduate from Carnegie Mellon University, with a double degree in Mechanical and Bio-medical Engineering.

During his university days, Shalin won the New York State Chess Championships and was selected for the prestigious position of Model UN President at Carnegie Mellon.

After completing his education, Shalin worked for a Hedge Fund in New York City, before joining IndUS Growth Partners in Boston, one of the four entities that Piramal has created to identify opportunities for M&A across sectors. His background in Value Investing gives him valuable core competencies in mining for under-valued high margin gems.
