Felicitation of Late R J Mehta
The Hirani Mata Sthanak Trust recently organised a Sneh Sammelan of the Hirani Mehta parivar at Birla Krida Kendra (Chowpatty, Mumbai) on September 14 to bring together families from the community, particularly the younger generation. The function also felicitated older visionaries from the community and outstanding young achievers. The visionaries who were felicitated included Late R J Mehta: He was a symbol and an icon of humanitarianism. He was felicitated by the governments of different parties for his dedicated commitment towards the less resourceful and downtrodden sections of the society. Dineshbhai Dahyabhai Mehta: A very religious, helpful and an ardent devout of Mataji, he has been the initiator and the pivot for activities of the trust. He has been instrumental in construction & maintenance of the Mataji Sthanak at Palanpur and the binding force for the Hirani Mata Parivar. Togetherness and Unity has been his motto for the Parivar.
Mataji's Pujan
Late Mahendrabhai Jorawarmalbhai Mehta: A dynamic personality without whose kind support the Parivar’s endeavour to make the Hirani Mata Sthanak complex would not have become a reality. Rupaben Shaileshbhai Mehta: An extremely kind hearted & religious person whose dedication to serve the needy is truly inspirational. She was awarded the Lady of the Millennium title in Surat in 2000. She is the chair person of Mahavir Hospital, Surat and was invited by the President of India in 2014 for a tea party in honour of her efforts. Their foresight, hard work and perseverance have taken this organization to great heights.
Trustees and Managing Committee members
Others who were felicitated included: • Members of the parivar who have excelled at the Shree Sthanakvasi Mahasangh 16 Exams • Young students who had achieved academic excellence in Class 10 (88% and above), Class 12 (88% and above), Graduation Courses, Post Graduation Courses/Diplomas and other academic pursuits • Milanbhai Mahendrabhai Mehta for his generous contribution by bearing the complete train ticket expenses of the tour of the parivar members to Palanpur for Mataji’s Darshan in February 2014 this year. This Sneh Sammelan not only brought together all the members of the community from all generations and walks of life, but also helped in forging new bonds as well as strengthening existing ties between them. It included a delightful family lunch that everybody enjoyed in each other’s company. The conveners of the programme were Rupaben Shaileshbhai Mehta and Milanbhai Mahendrabhai Mehta. It is hoped that this Sneh Sammelan goes on to become a tradition that brings the family together year after year and sets a benchmark for all to follow.
