The Cultural Committee of Palanpur Samaj Kendra organised a three-day sightseeing tour to Deolali, Saputara and Igatpuri for members of the organisation. The trip, held from January 9-11, 2015, was a memorable experience for all.

The journey was an enjoyable one, as the bus wound its way along the picturesque Sahayadri Mountains and the Kasara Ghat at Igatpuri before reaching Deolali.

On the way to Deolali, the group visited the Manas-Mandir-Shahpur, and over the next two days, gave darshan at various temples including Logas Suatra at Deolali, Dharmachakra, Vani Temple, Saputara, and others.

There were also sightseeing visits to Pandav Caves, Musical Fountain – Dadasaheb Phalke Museum & other places of interest. A highlight of the trip was the stay at Saputara. Even the elders among the group, aged between 45 and 85, enjoyed the excitement of taking a boat ride. The group enjoyed the hospitality at the Mani Bhavan Virayatan Society, especially the awesome food that was prepared.

Among the main organisers were Saroj Mehta, Rajnika Mehta and Anila Desai with support frrom the others who participated.

On the return to Mumbai, one of the members of the committee hosted all the others to tea & snacks at their pitcuresque bungalow at Igatpuri.
