Well known diamantaires from the community, Vishal P. Mehta, Russell A. Mehta and Sonu Parikh spoke on different panel discussions related to key issues of the trade at the Dubai Diamond Conference which was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre on April 21-22, 2015. Vishal P. Mehta participated in the session on ‘Retail in Challenging Markets’ along with a number of other leading jewellers from the Middle East. The session addressed various issues affecting the retail trade and discussed the link between online and offline retail. Russell A. Mehta was a member of the panel that explored another critical theme – ‘Synthetic Diamonds: Problem or Not at All?’ It was addressed by representatives of trade bodies and leading companies. He also spoke during the panel discussion on Finance.
Sonu Parikh was on the panel that discussed ‘Africa First’, while Dilip Mehta and Vishal Mehta also introduced key speakers from mining companies like De Beers, Alrosa, Endiama and others on the first day.
