Palanpur Samaj Kendra (PSK) held its 26th annual Badminton tournament as in previous years on August 15 at the CCI courts in Brabourne Stadium. While the total number of participants was lower that expected, there were a number of quality players who took part.

Particular mention must be made of some new participants from Ahmedabad, particularly Sriya Mehta who represents Gujarat state and has specially flown down to Mumbai with her family for the tournament.

Mishil Shah was also a new powerhouse, and is one of the young boys who may make it to the national level soon.

While it was heartening to note the presence of many of the sponsors, it was sad to learn that many regular participants remained absent citing the long holiday weekend.

All the committee members were- actively involved in their various tasks and the event was a smooth success.
