Maahir D Shah has won a number of awards for different co-curricular activities during the last two years as a student of the senior secondary section at Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai, including the prestigious “Jamnabai Narsee Alumini Association Award” for Cultural Excellence for the academic year 2015-16 and was also awarded “The  Jamnabai  Narsee  School  Award” for the Outstanding Achiever In Co-Curricular Activities 2015-16.

Maahir is the son of Sheetal and Devang Shah.

One of his more significant achievements was being appointed by a team from Harvard Uniersity as an Assistant Director in the Historical Security Council 1949 at their International Harvard Model UN Asia 2015 after a rigorous selection process. The event saw participation of over 1400 student delegates from various countries of Asia.

Prior to that Maahir had participated in a number of sessions of MUN at his own school and other well known schools across Mumbai, where he won awards for his performance. He was also invited to chair different committees and bodies at these events.

Another area where Maahir has won multiple accolades is for his music, especcially the genre of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). He secured 1st position in the “War of DJ’s” held at the True School of Music (was also the youngest participant, competing against professional DJ’s and college students). He also was one of the top ten finalists at the David Guetta Remix Contest (again the youngest winner) and also received a prize for the most innovative genre of music (his own).

He has also completed a month-long college-level research course “History and Culture of Electronic Dance Music” at the University of Southern California and received college credits for it, topping the class with a perfect 4.0 GPA and an A grade.

At a young age, Maahir has attained a professional certificate in music production from the True School of Music and has founded “Spektra5önikk Recordings” - a unique record label that aims at providing young unexposed musical talent a platform to release their music. He is also CEO of the venture. It already has several releases under its belt and has successfully held large scale music events.
