1,200 students create unique Gandhi mural in Palanpur on Jan 26

Over 1,200 students in Palanpur icame together on January 26 to create a massive live mural of Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of Republic Day. The Gandhi Mural was created by the students of Vidyamandir in Smt Suryakalaben Suryakantbhai Parikh Sportsground on the campus after completion of flag hoisting on January 26.

The massive mural was 97 x 74 feet, making it one of the largest displays of its kind. It was created using the colours of the national flag.

The event was planned and executed under Kapil Raval, animator of Shri V.C.Mehta School of Information and Technology, and his team. It attracted a lot of interest in the city and even in the media.

The mural was organised even as the institution is hosting the ‘Eternal Gandhi Multimedia Exhibition’ showcasing the life and times of the Mahatma at the Smt. Sushilaben D. Parikh Palanpur Museum on the campus.
