Corporate finance professional Ashish Adukia has been named by Fortune India magazine in its prestigious ’40 Under 40’ list. The list compiled by the magazine, features the top young leaders of the Indian corporate world and appears in the February issue of the magazine. Ashish is the husband of Hetal, daughter of Geeta and Mukesh Shantilal Mehta.

Currently Ashish, who has over 15 years of experience in Corporate Finance, is the President and Group Head Corporate Finance at the Aditya Birla Group, a position he has held since he joined the $ 41 mn Group in August 2014. The magazine says that he “advises the group on capital allocation and funding strategy, as well as investor relations”.

It also says that he plays another “more crucial” role wherein he “handles chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla’s MIS, which requires him to analyse monthly performance of the conglomerate’s key businesses and provide a report to Birla with his views and recommendations”.

An avid scuba diver and a qualified Chartered Accountant, Ashish was an Executive Director of the Investment Banking Division with Morgan Stanley India heading the Basic Materials and Infrastructure Group just prior to joining the Aditya Birla Group. After graduating from Sydenham College and Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Ashish had also worked for Citigroup and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
