Three Palanpuris settled in Chennai were among a number of Gujaratis recently honoured by Shri Gujarati Mandal, Chennai and the Shri Gujarati Mandal Building Trust, Chennai for their service to the Gujarati Community in the city. The three Palanpuris are Maithili Rajesh Mehta, Sanjivkumar D. Shah and Janak S. Mehta.

Shri Gujarati Mandal, Chennai and the Shri Gujarati Mandal Building Trust, Chennai are organisations for the Gujarati samaj in Chennai and well known for their social and cultural activities.

Smt. Maithili is an advocate for nearly 30 years specialising in Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax and VAT related issues, while also having associates who handle other areas of law, both civil and criminal. She is the daughter-in-law of Shri Satyendrabhai Mehta. 

Sanjiv Shah is a Chartered Accountant in Chennai. He is the son of Shri Dineshbhai Shah known as Ghadiyali for his profession and business.

Janak S. Mehta is a Civil Engineer and the son of Shri Shantilal Mangalji Mehta and brother of Smt Sarojben Mehta.
