Rishab Viral Shah

Rishab, son of Archana and Viral Shah, won the Best Junior Player award at an international chess tournament in Basel, Switzerland in 2018. 

A student of 9th Grade in Cathedral & John Connon School, Rishab has won multiple accolades in inter-school and inter-district events in Chess. He represented Maharashtra team that stood first in the CISCE Nationals.

Currently, RIshab has an Elo rating of 2236, and will shortly be recognised as a Candidate Master with the aim of becoming a Grand Master soon.

Earlier he was the Second Runner Up in the Rapid & Blitz format (U-14)  while representing India at the 2nd West Asia Youth Chess Championships organised by The Chess Federation of Sri Lanka on behalf of the Asian Chess Federation held in Sri Lanka in September 2017. 

He was also the winner of the MSSA and DSO chess events in U-16 category and a winner in the U-19 category at the JITO Games in Mumbai.

Prior to that Rishab secured the 1st place in Singapore Open Chess Championship in Boys U-12 category and also stood 1st in the Inter-school MSSA tournament in the Boys U-12 category. He alsoplayed at the World School Chess Tournament in Sochi Russia and represented the Indian team which stood 2nd. He stood 6th overall and tood first in the U-13 category at the District level and played at Zonal and State level. He has been awarded the Wagle Sports MSSA Excellence Award

Dhrishaan Chirag Mehta

Dhrishaan, son of Shainita and Chirag Prakashbhai Mehta, secured 2nd prize in Boys Under 6 yrs chess tournament organized by Shama Yedery for Champion's Chess Club at NMT Academy, Tardeo in October 2013.

He also secured 1st prize in E group in the chess tournament organised by SMCA (South Mumbai Chess Academy) at GD Somani School in October 2013.

Dia Pranav Mehta

Dia, daughter of Pooja and Pranav Rajesh Mehta, secured 1st prize in Girls 8-10 yrs chess tournament organized by Shama Yedery for Champion's Chess Club at NMT Academy, Tardeo in October 2013.

Hritik Shamit Bhansali

Hrithik, son of Kamini and Shamit Shirish Bhansali secured the 15th place in the state chess championships for Under 14. He is a student of Campion School.

Hrithik also secured 4th position in the Under 7 state level, 5th position in the Under 9 state level, 20th position at the National level and 2nd position in the Under 10 Dubai International tournament.

Kavita Prashant Bhansali

Kavita Prashant Bhansali, daughter of Mita and Prashant Bhansali, scored 3 points out of 4 and secured 4th place in the 3rd ICGSE, CBSE and ICSE Inter School Chess Championship 2009 conducted by Bombay Chess Association and organized by Rustomjee International Cambridge School and Chanakya Chess Club.

Neeraja Shrenik Mehta

 

Neeraja, daughter of Shrenik and Rupa Mehta, stood 2nd in the Maharashtra State Chess Championships and is now an internationally rated player.

Earlier also she  secured second place in Under 7 Maharashtra State Chess Championship  2008 conducted at Sholapur in December 2008 and represented Maharashtra State at the Nationals.
 

 

Siddhant Sumeet Mehta
Siddhanth, son of Arpita and Sumeet Kumarbhai Mehta, participated in the Maharashtra State Under-7 Boys and Girls Chess Championship held at Solapur and was ranked 8th achieving a creditable score of 5 out of a possible 7 points.
