The diamond trade in Mumbai assembled in large numbers to pay their respects to senior diamantaire and respected industry leader Sanjay Kanubhai Shah, who  had expired in New York on 29 April, at the BDB Complex on June 2, 2022.
 

The condolence meeting was organized by the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) and The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). The SG Jhaveri Hall, where the meet was hosted, was packed to capacity on the occasion.
 

Sanjay was the Director of KBS Group a leading Diamond & Jewelry group. In addition, he was also the Convener of the Diamond Panel Committee of GJEPC, and a leader of the industry in the true sense of the word. He also represented India on international trade bodies such as the Kimberley Process and World Diamond Council.
 

Anoop Mehta, President and Mehul Shah, VP, both of BDB, Colin Shah, Chairman, Vipul Shah, VC from GJEPC and Russell Mehta & Ashish Mehta also paid homage to the late diamantaire. 
 

Sanjaybhai's father Kanubhai and son Siddhant acknowledged and thanked all present on behalf of the family.
