The Palanpur Samaj Kendra’s annual sports calendar of 2022-23, which had a number of well organised and highly appreciated sporting events, drew to a close with the awards and prize distribution ceremony, organised by the PSK Sports Committee at Malabar Hill Club in Mumbai on September 24, 2023.
 

Veteran cricketer Mr Dilip Doshi presided as the chief guest and gave a very inspiring speech to the parents and participants about the importance of sports for a healthy life. 
 

The Palanpur Samaj Kendra Sports Committee had made elaborate arrangements for all the sponsors, winners and participants to receive their awards and prizes. The Convener of the Sports Committeee, Kumarbhai Mehta introduced everyone and applauded the time, effort and energy put in by all the committee members – Nitaben, Archanaben, Nikhilbhai, Shailaben and Milanbhai – in ensuring that the sports events were held successfully during the year. He also thanked the sponsors and the community members who participated so enthusiastically. A special mention was made of the role played by Nimish N. Shah, whose meaningful efforts made sure that every tournament was a great success.
 

Kumarbhai, with the entire sports committee, urged each and every member of the samaj to take keen interest and give importance to sports as a part of a healthy life! He hoped that the response to events in 2023-24 would be even better.
